Ethan Glass has joined Cooley’s Washington, DC, office as a partner in the firm’s global litigation department. Arriving from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where he served as chair of its antitrust investigations and government enforcement practice, Glass has extensive experience as a first-chair trial lawyer, a lead government investigator and a manager of government investigations. He bridges both litigation and agency work, and represents clients in all types of competition matters – from mergers to criminal and civil conduct – before the courts and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), US Department of Justice (DOJ) and state attorneys general.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ethan to our growing litigation team as we continue to build out our elite, next-generation trial practice,” said Michael Attanasio, chair of Cooley’s global litigation department. “Ethan brings a proven track record as a first-chair advocate in high-stakes matters, and his arrival to Cooley reflects our strategic investment in building out our antitrust litigation and enforcement capability for our clients facing the emerging threat of competition‐related investigations and litigation, as well as merger challenges opposite the FTC and DOJ.”
“Ethan is an immensely talented first-chair antitrust litigator, and we are pleased to have him join Cooley to build upon our strong, full-service antitrust capabilities and grow the practice by leading our representation of clients in antitrust litigation,” said Jacqueline Grise, partner and chair of Cooley’s antitrust & competition practice group. “His impressive background will strengthen our ability to meet current and future market demand for defending clients in disputes before the courts and antitrust agencies.”
