Elodie Vandenhende has been appointed to the newly created position of Deputy Head of the Digital Economy Unit, at Autorite de la Concurrence.
The Digital Economy Unit, which reports directly to the General Rapporteur, is tasked with developing in-depth expertise on all digital subjects, collaborating on investigations into anticompetitive practices in the digital economy and contributing to studies on new issues related to developments in digital technology, such as the current fintech study and the development of major platforms in payment services.
After studying law in France and the United States (Paris Nanterre University and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.), Elodie Vandenhende began her career as a lawyer specialising in competition law. A member of the bars of Paris and New York, she practised for several years within a reputable American law firm.
