Orrick Adds Antitrust Partners

 |  January 3, 2022

Orrick named Eileen Cole of White & Case and Craig Falls of Dechert as antitrust and competition partners in Washington as the firm prepares for stepped-up actions under President Joe Biden.

Antitrust has become “a greater focus of enforcement and corporate strategy” in areas such as technology and life sciences under the Biden administration, according to an Orrick statement.

“There’s a bipartisan push for more enforcement in antitrust,” Falls said in an interview. “There’s also a rethinking of what the goals of antitrust are, which is going to present a lot of challenges for companies as they have to rethink how they would defend their business practices, or agreements, or their deals.”
