South Korea: Judges slap Apple, Samsung wrists for patent feuds

As Samsung is said to near a settlement with European authorities regarding its pursuit of legal action against users of its smartphone patents, reports say a judge in South Korea has tossed Samsung’s lawsuit against Apple for such patent infringement.

    Samsung filed a case in the nation hoping to ban the iPhone 4 and iPad 2 from the nation, claiming Apple illegally infringed on Samsung patents and seeking $95,000 in damages.

    Instead, however, the judge ruled that both companies infringed on each others companies, ruling that they must pay each other token fees.
