Aimee E. DeFilippo, a partner in Jones Day’s Antitrust Practice, has been appointed Chair of the Antitrust Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA).
Ms. DeFilippo has substantial experience advising clients in the health care industry on antitrust matters, including guiding numerous hospitals through merger transactions involving Federal Trade Commission and state attorney general reviews. She has a nuanced understanding of the antitrust challenges facing health care providers and has advised extensively on non-merger collaborations and provider contracting practices. She has also represented pharmaceutical clients on transactional and conduct matters. Ms. DeFilippo is a frequent speaker on health care antitrust issues and is the primary author of a Bloomberg Law treatise on Health Care Networks and Managed Care.
The AHLA is the preeminent professional organization for lawyers in the health care field in the United States, with more than 13,000 members practicing in law firms, government, in-house settings, and academia, and representing the broad spectrum of the health industry. AHLA’s Antitrust Practice Group focuses on public and private antitrust enforcement activity and competition policy affecting health care.
