US: FTC clears Stryker, K2M deal

K2M announced Thursday, November 8,  that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) granted early termination to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act waiting period for its pending US$1.4 billion merger with Stryker.

    The termination of the HSR Act clears yet another hurdle to the union between the two companies, which will position K2M as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kalamazoo, Michigan based Stryker.

    On November 7, K2M stated that it won shareholder approval for the merger during a special meeting of stockholders.
