US: FTC deputy assistant director makes move to Simpson Thacher

A former deputy assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition of the Mergers IV Division will reportedly join law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, according to a press release.

    The firm announced Tuesday that Sara Y. Razi will become part of its antitrust practice as counsel in Washington, D.C.

    Razi served at the FTC since 2010 and managed litigation of various cases involving hospitals, retail and other markets.

    According to reports, she first jointed the FTC in 2004 as Attorney Advisor to then-chairman Deborah Platt Majoras.
