US: Verizon Wireless buyback proves lucrative

    Verizon Communications closed the acquisition last week following the $130 billion buyback from Vodafone.

    Since reports say Verizon Communications predicts a 4 percent revenue increase, with profit increases for both its wireless and landline operations.

    The transaction was part of Verizon’s confidence in the wireless market and its room for growth, say reports, despite slowing smartphone sales.
