US Security Brokers Pay To Settle Libor Case

Tullett Prebon Americas Corp. and other securities brokers have reached a settlement of $2.1 million to resolve an antitrust lawsuit brought by investors regarding an alleged scheme to manipulate interest rates, reported Bloomberg.

    On Thursday, an agreement was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York regarding a case. This settlement is the sixth in the case, with previous settlements reached by defendants such as JP Morgan Chase & Co., Credit Suisse Group AG and Deutsche Bank AG. The total amount of settlements, subject to final court approval, is approximately $74 million.
