Belgium: The Competition College has approved the acquisition of Krëfel by HTM and Boulanger
The Competition College of the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) has approved on 12 November 2019 the acquisition of Krëfel NV with its subsidiaries Hifi International SA and Tones BVBA by the High Tech Multicanal Group SA (HTM) and Boulanger SA (Boulanger).
The impact of the transaction on competition was analyzed in view of the horizontal relations between companies of both groups on the retail market for white domestic appliances.
The College has, as proposed by the competition prosecutor, decided that the transaction does not cause a significant restriction of competition.
