With this study, ACM wants to understand better how app providers get their apps in app stores, as well as what influence app stores have on the selection of apps from which end-users can choose. As such, ACM examines similar practices as described in the complaint filed by Spotify against Apple.

If other market participants have any similar complaints, the ACM is calling on them to file such complaints with them. The ACM has been in touch with the European Commission about this.
