UK: CMA invites consultations on “no deal” EU Exit

According to the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), leaving the EU with a deal remains the Government’s top priority, however, the CMA must plan for every eventuality, including a “no deal” scenario. They are intensifying and accelerating “no deal” planning to ensure we are fully prepared.

    The draft guidance covers:

    • the legal framework
    • merger control
    • enforcement of competition law prohibitions (antitrust, including cartels)
    • consumer protection law enforcement
