Morrison & Foerster has hired litigation partner Daiske Yoshida in Tokyo from Latham & Watkins.
Yoshida advises Japanese semiconductor manufacturers, automakers, and life science companies on US antitrust proceedings, litigation, and international arbitration. In 2016, he led the antitrust team of Latham’s representation of Nissan Motor in a US$2.3 billion investment in Mitsubishi Motors. He also specializes in anti-corruption, economic sanctions, and data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
He joins Morrison & Foerster after two decades at Latham. He joined the firm’s New York office straight out of Fordham University School of Law in 1998 and made partner in 2009.
