France: New Secretary General of the French Competition Authority named

Maël Guilbaud-Nanhou has been appointed Secretary General of the French Competition Authority, effective January 1, 2019, by decision of Isabelle de Silva, President of the institution. He succeeds Isabelle Sévajols.

    Guilbaud-Nanhou holds a Master 2 degree in Public Law from Paris I University (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and is admitted to the Institute of Judicial Studies of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas) as well as to the Regional Institute of Administration of Nantes.

    He began his career in 2007 at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, first as head of internal financial control. In 2008, he was appointed deputy head of the accounting quality office at the Financial and General Affairs Department, which he headed from 2011 to 2014.

    Since January 2015, he worked at the Prefecture of Police (Ministry of the Interior) as Secretary General of the Directorate for Transport and Public Protection of the Departmental Directorate for the Protection of Populations.
