La autoridad antimonopolio de Italia anunció el viernes 7 de diciembre que aplicará a Facebook dos multas por un total de €10 millones (US$ 11,4 millones) por supuestas infracciones al código de protección al consumidor. El regulador afirma que la configuración predeterminada de los servicios ofrecidos por Facebook “prepara la transmisión de los datos del usuario a sitios web/aplicaciones individuales sin el consentimiento explícito” de los usuarios.
