Why are the hearings taking place, what are the goals, why do they matter to nonpolicy professionals, and how can these hearings can be most effective in advancing competition policy?  This first of two panels will explore the aims of the FTC and EU hearings, provide context and background on how the FTC predecessor hearings went in 1995 and the result of those hearings.
