Chile: TDLC rejects Crypto Chile bid to join lawsuit against banking sector

Chile’s Tribunal for de Defense of Free Competition (TDLC) announced the rejection of a request made by the country’s Blockchain Association (better known as Crypto Chile) to join the lawsuit filed by cryptocurrency operator Orionx against Banco Estado.

    The association would have sought to be part of the class action lawsuit “with the aim of protecting and promoting the rights of companies that work based on Blockchain technology, among which are the so-called exchanges”.

    The decision to reject the plaintiff was not unanimous, with Ministers Domper and Vergara opining in favor of the tech group being part of the case.
