Chile: Central Bank calls for new TDLC Ministers

The Board of the Central Bank of Chile (BC) has agreed to hold a call for bids to appoint a Chief Attorney and a Chief Economist to the Tribunal for the Defense of Free Competition (TDLC), one half of the country’s Market and Competition regulatory duo.

    The BC’s call is for the partial renewal of the court’s Titular Ministers, whose appointment period ends this year: economist María de la Luz Domper and attorney Eduardo Vergara, who will hold office until May 12, 2018 .

    For its part, the Board also agreed on new Nomination Requirements in order to make the aforementioned appointments, delegating to the general manager the power to carry out the other actions required to hold the public tender.
