Brazil: CADE approves Arauco purchase of Masisa plants

Brazilian competition watchdog CADE has approved the acquisition of US$103 million in assets belonging to rival Masisa to continue. T he purchase comprises two wood-panel production plants, with a production capacity of 800,000 cubic meters.

    Following the acquisition, Arauco will become the second largest producer of wood panels globally, with 10 million cubic meters per year.
