EU: British Airways loses air cargo appeal

The European Union’s highest court on Monday, November 13, rejected British Airways’ attempt to have a €104 million (US$122.7 million) air cargo cartel decision thrown out in its entirety, ruling the carrier had effectively doomed its own challenge by initially pursuing only a limited appeal.

    The European Court of Justice concluded that even though the General Court, acting on its own initiative, found serious enough procedural errors to toss out the vast majority of the European Commission’s €790 million (US$932 million) cartel decision.
