    Abstract:      Following a sector inquiry issued by the Italian Competition Authority, this article analyzes the main features of the vaccine industry and related markets, both at a national and supranational level. Final considerations are made with respect to the role of antitrust in supporting human rights by enhancing access to essential medicines.
