Mexico: IFT and COFECE call for candidates to vacant roles

This past Monday, September 4, Mexico’s Federal Commission for Economic Competition (COFECE), along with national telecommunications regulator Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones (IFT) issued calls for the selection of new commissioners.
 
Public calls to participate in selection procedure for new commissioners at the country’s top regulators will be disseminated in the Official Gazette and on the website of the Evaluation Committee.
 
The Evaluation Committee referred to in article 28 of the Constitution has said that, once the process of evaluation and accreditation of applicants has been completed, it will send its list of candidates for each vacancy to the Executive, with the aim of presenting a minimum of three candidates to each position.
