Kroton Educacional SA, la empresa de contenido educativo más grande de Brasil, ha anunciado que explorará la posibilidad de hacerse con el control de su principal contrincante, Estacio Participacoes SA, por 3,480 millones de reales (alrededor de $968 millones de dólares). Tras la noticia las acciones de Estacio vieron su alza más pronunciada en más de 7 años, al crecer 22% (a 13.55 reales) en la bolsa de Sao Paulo, cerrando más cerca del 15% arriba de su posición inicial. Kroton por su parte llegó a ver alzas de hasta 12%, su mayor incremento desde octubre.
