The Bulgarian authorities have sanctioned the company after receiving a complaint from a competitor of eMAG, reports local Profit.ro. The Romanian online retailer promised significant discounts during “Black Friday” and “Crazy Days” shopping events of up to 70%, but the real discounts were between 30-40%, reads the complaint.

eMAG wants to challenge the decision, and even bring the case in front of the European Commission. It’s not the first time when the Bulgarian Committee for Competition Protection fines Dante International.
