The Spanish regulator had authorised Masmovil Ibercom’s acquisition of rivals Xtra Telecom, Tecnologías Integrales and The Phone House Movil on February 5th this year.

The CNMC’s approval identified Masmovil Ibercom as responsible for notifying the agency prior to initiating the merger. The upcoming investigation does not represent a declaration of guilt, with final veredicts released within 6 months.
