US: Polsinelli US Supreme Court antitrust case

    The Kansas City-based law firm represented commercial and industrial purchasers of natural gas, including Briggs & Stratton Corp. and Learjet. It argued that the federal Natural Gas Act, which gives the Federal Energy Regulatory Commissionauthority to regulate natural gas prices, was not intended to extend to retail transactions within the states. The Supreme Court issued a 7-2 decision siding with Polsinelli’s clients.

    The victory is one, admittedly large, step in the case. But it means Polsinelli’s clients can proceed with taking their claims to court.
