The National Communications Commission yesterday turned down the merger application between Asia Pacific Telecom and Ambit Microsystems Corp.
TThe merger aims to form a strategic alliance with Taiwan Mobile so that Asia Pacific can provide the 4G data service via Taiwan Mobile’s network. This deal, however, is opposed by other telecom operators.
