The American Antitrust Institute has held its second-annual Antitrust Enforcement Awards, and the group announced the winners of the event.
Among the winners include Edward Leamer of UCLA, who was recognized for his work in high-tech employee antitrust litigation with the award for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Economics. According to the AAI, D. Leamer’s expertise was chosen for the honor, in part, for his work in demonstrating that economic analysis can determine whether a class action is the appropriate way for employees to seek damages in antitrust suits.
Meanwhile, Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi LLP celebrated the award of Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement in Private Law Practice, given to Robins Kaplan partner K. Craig Wildfang. Among his most high-profile cases includes In re Payment Card Interchange Fee and Merchant Discount Litigation, for which he served as co-lead counsel.
Lastly, the AAI awarded its newest category, Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievemnt by a Young Lawyer, to Matt Duncan of Fine, Kaplan and Black for his work in In re Steel Antitrust Litigation.
