China: Tencent antitrust decision chosen in 51 most influential cases

To celebrate the 65 years anniversary of the Supreme Court of China, the Newspaper of People’s Court summarized the 51 most influential cases since the Supreme Court was founded. The summary was accompanied with comments from legal experts.

    Among those 51 cases, the Qihoo 360 v Tencent case was selected as the first antitrust appeal case heard at the Supreme Court. It’s also the longest public hearing in the history of the Supreme Court. This case also involved the largest damages in internet cases in China.

    The final decision was ranked the longest decision (over 74,000 words) of civil cases.
