US: Morgan Lewis grabs struggling Bingham antitrust practice

Morgan Lewis is set to bring 227 of Bingham McCutchen’s roughly 300 lawyers, reports say, and nearly all of Bingham’s antitrust practice will migrate to Morgan Lewis by the end of the month.

    While the firms had been in merger discussions for several months, experts say Bingham, hit with a recent malpractice claim and reportedly riddled with debt, will likely collapse.

    As Morgan Lewis plans to take on the majority of Bingham’s antitrust lawyers, reports say its former co-char of antitrust and trade regulation is set to join Seyfarth Shaw.
