Unnamed sources say the European Commission is readying an antitrust complaint against several major truck makers, including Volvo and Daimler, for anticompetitive conduct.
Reports say the Commission is poised to send a statement of objections to the companies, as well as possibly Volkswagen-owned MAN SE and Sania, among other companies, as soon as next month. The companies were raided by competition authorities in 2011, say reports.
Details on the exact nature of the suspected collusion are scarce, but the Commission has cracked down on the automobile industry and its “abundance of cartels” as of late.
