France: Bidders line up for unconfirmed coffee sales

    According to reports, Italy-based Lavazza and Israel-based Strauss Group are preparing rival bids for the brands, L’Or and Grand Mere. The sales are expected as part of a merger between Mondelez International and D.E. Master Blenders to ease competition concerns, say reports.

    Unnamed sources say the Italian and Israeli companies have hired advisors to submit a bid for the French companies. Reports say the assets could be worth up to $640 million.
