India: Claims of realty abuse of dominance rejected

The Competition Commission of India has denied allegations against two realty firms that accused them of abusing their dominance position, say reports.

    The CCI found that Orchid Infrastructure Developers and TDI Infrastructure do not actually hold dominant positions, and therefore claims of abusive conduct are not valid.

    It is unclear exactly what the complaints alleged against the companies, but a separate complaint was filed in regards to the same matter against Haryana’s Department of Town and Country Planning and its Urban Development Authority. The alleged anticompetitive conduct occurred in Haryana.
