China: Audi latest to slash prices amid market probe

Audi is the latest luxury automobile manufacturer to make changes to its product pricing in the wake of an investigation into the industry by China’s National Development and Reform Commission, say reports.<>Audi, owned by Volkswagen, announced Saturday it will reduce spare parts prices in China, though in its statement the company said it adjusted the prices “proactively.”

    Audi is just one of the foreign car makers under investigation by the NDRC for concerns of how the companies price their products. Jaguar Land Rover, which is also part of the probe, announced late last week that it would also reduce prices, a move that slashes costs on three car models by up to 19 percent in China, say reports.
