The former head of the Federal Trade Commission has reportedly found a new position in addition to his partnership at Davis Polk.
Ex-FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz is said to have joined Reputation.com on its board of directors. The site deals with consumer data and allows companies to offer incentives to their consumers to gain access to that data.
In a statement announcing the new job, Leibowitz said that the site “is a technology company that’s breaking new ground in online privacy and reputation management.”
In his announcement, Leibowitz praised the company’s efforts to allow individuals to control their personal data.
Leibowitz is also now a partner at Davis Polk at its Washington, DC and New York offices specializing in antitrust.
While at the FTC, Leibowitz dealt with several privacy cases and, during his time at the authority, launched new policies that regulate how websites and mobile applications can collect and use data regarding children.
