India: Doctor’s case against CT Scan maker nixed

The Competition Commission of India has reportedly dismissed a complaint against medical equipment maker Wipro GE, filed by a medical practitioner accusing the company of abusing its market dominance.

    According to reports, the practitioner claimed Wipro sold substandard CT Scan equipment and that Wipro charged unfair costs for repairs and spare parts.

    The CCI announced the closure of the case on the grounds that the complainant did not make a sufficient case against the company.

    In a separate matter, Wipro was also accused, along with GE Health Care, of unfair medical equipment sale contracts, but the CCI also dismissed that case.
