Poland: Regulator allows newspaper publishing sale

UK-based newspaper publisher Mecom has been cleared to sell the rest of its Polish operations to Poland-based publisher Polskapresse, say reports.

    The Polish Competition Authority cleared the divesture on the condition that Polskapresse sells the ‘Dziennik Wschodni’ title, along with its online operations, within 12 months.

    Reports say Polskapresse has agreed to the terms.

    Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
