UK: Leading apparel co accused of widespread price-fixing

Top undergarment company DB Apparel is under fire by the UK’s Office of Fair Trading, along with three department stores that sell DB products, for allegations of fixing prices of sports bras, say reports.

    The OFT suspects the company, along with Debenhams, House of Fraser and John Lewis, of colluding to fix prices of the Shock Absorber sports bra line. The accusations come following a 17-month long investigation into the sports bra market by the regulator.

    From that probe, the OFT says it found evidence of DB Apparel making nine anticompetitive agreements between 2008 and 2011 with stores.
