Russia: FAS warns Auchan subsidiary against illegal payments

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service ruled a subsidiary of retail giant Auchan is in violation of the nation’s trade law, according to a statement offered by regulators.

    Auchan’s Atac was found to have received various payments for the same level of promotional services by fish suppliers. In response, the FAS issued a warning to the retail company.

    According to reports, Atac was probed in 2012 for allegations of discriminatory conditions for various food suppliers.
