UK: OFT probes container maker buyout

The UK’s Office of Fair Trading has reportedly opened an investigation into the buyout of container manufacturer Sellers by its rival Talyor.

    Taylor, which makers waste bins, said the deal would consolidate efficiencies in the company’s operations; the OFT is concerned, however, that the deal could harm competition.

    The watchdog issued a September 11 deadline for interested parties to file comments on the case.
