Bulgaria/Norway: EC green-lights Telenor acquisition

The European Commission announced Monday its approval for Norway-based telecommunications conglomerate Telenor to acquire Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile as well as its retailer Germanos Telecom. According to a press release, the Commission found no cause for competition concern as the parties’ markets do not overlap geographically. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
