France: Fresh controversy hits Apple with last week’s mystery raids

France’s competition watchdog reportedly raided Apple, as well as offices of its wholesalers and distributors, last week, though details of the search remain scarce. According to reports, the Autorite de la Concurrence confirmed it carried out the raids but did not elaborate on its reasoning; reports say the regulator collected documents, however, and some media suggest the investigation may have to do with a 2011 case when Apple reseller eBizcuss sued the company for anticompetitive advantages over stocks and dwindling supplies.
