US: Marketing websites merge as FTC waiting period expires

The early termination waiting period for the merger between CRM platform Salesforce.com and marketing platform ExactTarget has expired, according to reports. The waiting period, which was announced to the parties by the US Federal Trade Commission, signifies that no action will be taken to block the deal, which was announced earlier this month. Now, with regulatory clearance, the parties must finalize customary closing procedures before finalizing their deal. Financial information of the merger was not disclosed.
