A two-day long conference focused on competition law has resulted in a consensus that fierce competition policy is crucial to attract new investors and strengthening trade relations. The conference, entitled The Role of Competition in Fostering Trade and Investment, was held at the Competition Commission of Pakistan and attended by both Pakistani and international antitrust experts. Reports say the conference reinforced the notion that well-established, tough competition law attracts foreign trade and investment.
