A chiropractor association has reportedly reached an agreement with the Department of Justice over allegations of price-fixing. According to reports, South Dakota’s Chiropractic Associates Ltd. of South Dakota was sued by the DOJ, accused of fixing prices of chiropractic services that were part of at least seven contracts with insurers. The association makes up about 80 percent of the chiropractic sector in the state. While exact terms of the settlement were not reported, the agreement will reportedly prevent the association from making any further price fixings as well as from negotiating with insurance companies against rival chiropractors.
