Switzerland: Government struggles with unprecedented issues for non-Swiss suppliers

Parliament’s upper house has announced that it is looking for the nation’s antitrust watchdog Comco to tackle the rising prices of various goods compared to its surrounding nations, despite the fact that previous changes had been made that should have encouraged price decreases. While Comco has been focusing on fighting price-fixing cartels, some politicians now argue that Switzerland is an “island” whose suppliers are often based outside the country. It’s a complicated issue has some are also arguing that European law has no precedent for enforcing law to those supplier outside the nation’s boarders.
