Russia: FAS receives corrections to anticompetitive airliner/airport agreement

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has reportedly reached an interim settlement with Aeroflot, an airline carrier found to have made an anticompetitive agreement concerning its deal with Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. As a result, the carrier has been fined $3,289 since the FAS blocked a deal that distributed certain airport terminals to Aeroflot, sister companies and SkyTeam partners. FAS asked the parties to submit corrections to the agreement they found to be anticompetitive, putting other carriers at a disadvantage, and while documents of an a revised agreement have been received by the FAS, the authority has said it will need time to review the proposed solutions.
