Malaysia: More data needed in review of domestic broiler market

According to reports, the Malaysia Competition Commission has announced no findings of anticompetitive behavior within the domestic broiler market for peninsular Malaysia, though MyCC CEO Shila Dorai Raj said in a statement that the lack of findings may be due to a lack of data and information needed to adequately complete a review. As such, MyCC has announced an ongoing probe into the industry. According to reports, MyCC suspects that the authority may need a common database of registered farming establishments to properly reach conclusions.
