India: CCI issues $9.8M fine for mishandling of cricket contracts

A $9.8 million fine has been imposed by the Competition Commission of India on the Board of Control for Cricket in India for unfair practices. According to reports, the BCCI denied market access to potential competition when dishing out Indian Premier League contracts. The CCI has reportedly been investigating Indian Premier League deals for more than two years.
