Spain: Grape price-fixers mean €1M fine for winemakers

The CNC has issued more than €1 million in fines to three associations of Valdepeñas and Castilla-La Mancha winemakers for price-fixing the cost of grapes, according to a press release. A probe by the CNC was first initiated in early March of 2011 into the three associations over prices paid to grape growers. The CNC concluded the probe and made its decision late last month.
